Poor urban planning. Noise pollution. Crowded conditions. Too many scooters (very polluting). Taiwan.

i'm gonna have to defend my hometown. yes, it's bad here at times but put up a construction site in the middle of any main road in any area of taipei or taipei county (or most major cities in the world) and traffic will be hell.
Well, in a couple more years things will improve. All the construction of the MRT will finish and there will be a safe, clean and efficient alternative to the mess that they call roads in Taiwan.
Good comments both. However, I can like Taiwan and be critical of the poor urban planning. The fact is, the politicos in Taiwan historically ignored urban planning and we all pay the price everyday -- not just where the subway system is being built (30-40 years too late).
The fact is, many parts of China (e.g., Shenzhen), Hong Kong, Korea, Singapore and Japan all have had better urban planning.
ain't that the truth. taiwan's urban planning is really bad. just horrible.
